Redefining A Brand Experience
The launch of Ploom X stood as one of JTI’s most immersive brand experiences. Set inside Cologne’s popular XPOST venue, the event brought together key resellers, influencers, and press for an unforgettable immersive experience.
Over 3,000 square meters were transformed into a “Ploom Experience” – complete with a black-carpet entrance, dining and show arena, interactive zones, and an exclusive Ploom Club.

THE REVEAL
Suspended from the ceiling, a giant LED cube became the centerpiece of the show. Beneath it, a catwalk-style stage set the scene for a dramatic opening sequence. In a breathtaking audiovisual moment, the cube—shrouded in black curtains— started pulsing with light and was revealed under thunderous applause as the drapes dropped in sync with THVNDR’s custom-composed score. This unveiling transitioned seamlessly into a stunning showcase of the Ploom X product design.

More InformationTHVNDR created the entire sonic identity for the event, with most compositions scored to picture, perfectly synchronized to high-end 3D animations and LED visuals displayed on the cube.
One of the highlights was the product film—featuring detailed exploded views of the device and showcasing JTI’s proprietary HeatFlow™ technology. This was brought to life with a powerful, cinematic soundtrack that blended electronic pulses with orchestral textures.
To introduce the new Ploom X flavor collection, THVNDR produced six bespoke EDM tracks performed live by the DJ duo NXN. The set delivered an electrifying club-style vibe that turned the experience into a high-energy celebration, perfectly aligned with the brand’s premium aesthetic.

THE FINALE
The evening reached its peak with a hybrid orchestral score, intensifying a jaw-dropping laser show and visual performance on the LED cube. The grand finale featured a choreographed cast of dancers emerging from the audience, joined by a mesmerizing aerial ballet of glowing drone orbs, guiding guests toward an afterparty headlined by internationally acclaimed DJ Paul Kalkbrenner. Music, motion, and light merged into one unforgettable crescendo.
